First Strokes is a pre-writing series designed to build pencil control, hand strength, and coordination in young learners. Each volume focuses on a specific skill set, allowing families and educators to choose the volume that best matches a child’s current stage—or collect all three for a complete progression.

Volume 1: Lines
Introduces the foundational strokes needed for letter and number writing. Activities are simple, engaging, and developmentally aligned for early learners.

Volume 2: Shapes
Focuses on common shapes which help children transition from basic strokes to more complex forms used in letters and numerals, while strengthening visual-motor coordination and spatial awareness.

Volume 3: Tracing Paths
A playful approach to pencil control and directionality. Children follow themed paths like roads, rivers, and trails, reinforcing left-to-right movement, curves, corners, and changes in direction, important for writing and reading readiness.
